24v to 36v Taylor-Dunn

I have a Taylor-Dunn 24v 3 wheel cart. The controller says 24-36v. Motor says 24/36/48v. My question is can I just change battery pack to 36v? Or does the controller need to be reset to 36v. And how much speed would I pick up. it only goes about 9mph now

That controller should work on 36v without any program change. You will need a 36v solenoid and charger. Mathematically speed increase should equal the voltage increase. So where 36 is 50% more than 24 volts, the motor should theoretically spin 50% faster. Look for 35-40% in the real world of worn parts, and roll resistance.

Ok I knew I needed a 36v charger. Next question is it has 3 solenoids do I need to replace all 3 or just the main one? What do the other 2 do?

Ok I see now the two bigger ones are contractors and smaller one is the solenoid. I Looked up data sheet on the contractors it says 6v-48v so I am thinking I am good on the contractors. What do the two contractors do ? One forward one reverse? I’ll get the part number off the solenoid tonight and look up the data sheet on it.

When I go to 36v it doesn’t move contact or clicks no power to motor go back to 24 v works as should does the controller not to be set to 36v?

Anyone know anything about going from 24v to 36v with this controller
