my 48volt IQ to 72 volt series conversion
I am about to convert my 02 club car IQ 48v over to a 72 volt series cart, using the GE beast motor , a flight system 700 amp controller, # 2 cables, 96 volt reversing contactor and main solenoid( yall can figure that out right? ) I currently have an allsports 6" long travel kit, 23-10-12 tires, and the main pack is 9- 8 volt Trojan t875's and a 10/1 rear gear.
I have to thank tahoedawgz71, andy4639, tgawg, gary waint and others for the help I will try and post some pics of the cart now, and along the way |

Maybe a set of wings and an ejector seat would be handy:lhmo:

Looks like a battery watering kit is in the future, the ninth batt will be In the bagwell, also the charge plug will be located between the driver side rear batt and wheel well
I kept in tact as much as the factory cross braces as I could for strength will have more pics of the controller, reversing contactor and main solenoid later this week, still need to order them |
Re: my 48volt IQ to 72 volt series conversion
Why 9 batteries? I thought you were going 72v?
I did a 72v ezgo a while back. It was extremely awesome. I sold it because I like building better then riding. Link below.. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-txt-bust.html |

What's your plan for a 72v charger? They can get expensive.
