2008 cc precedent won't go

bought used 08 electric precedent in may. ran great for3-4 months.
started losing power; topped off batteries (maybe I overfilled).
now won't go. don't see visible corrosion on battery leads, lights work; hear solenoid click. low battery light doesn't light up.
I'm kind of a tool-friendly chick, but i need direction here! (i'm trying to get
my 12yo son to learn how to work on it)
should I invest in manual (none came with it)?
What about a warranty??

anyone have experience with cc precedents (good or bad?)
thanks in advance.

If you bought from a dealer, you should have a warranty.. 2008 Club Cars should have come with a 3 year warranty.

i did buy it used; should warranty still be valid.
it's a 2 hour drive to where I purchased it.
is there a diagnostic plug in for these carts? thanks

there is a diagnostic plug in... I would call your dealer and ask them if the warranty is valid.. if so see if you can find a local Club Car dealer, they should be capable of honoring the warranty as well. If they won't call club car and ask them why ;-)

all you did was top off batts and now won,t run? does it have a run tow switch? if so you sure you didn,t bump it.............start with basics grab and pull each cable to make surte they are good and tight and than have batteries tested and load tested...........this is if you don,t have any warranty if you do have warranty don,t touch it let them..........make sure your run tow switch is in run if you have the switch.......lift the seat its in the senter right up top..........................................8)

regardless of the outcome yes buy a service manual if your gonna work on it yourself.........dosn,t make any sense that you added water and now will not run..................makes no sense at all but that again its a golfcart...............8)

Man...I hope CC didn't change something after 2007...
I had a 2 year "personal" warranty on my 07 Lynx...
(it just expired... I'm happy I haven't had to use it!)

But, your 08 should still be valid! (it is transferable)

Oh... and BTW... vbcoach...

Welcome to BGW! 8)

Re: 2008 cc precedent won't go

Well, i took it in for diagnostics & replace MCOR unit.
It looks like I'm ready to roll again.
THanks for all the input.

btw, this cart is actually a remanufactured cart; possibly 2004 original; but
my batteries are 5/08 (so no warranty)
but should be able to run for a long time now.
Thanks again friends!
