Ez-Go Marathon-Only starts with starting fluid
I just rebuilt the top of my Ez-Go Marathon's engine. Once I got everything back together, it will only start if I spray starting fluid in the carburetor. It has good compression, has spark, and is getting fuel. I also sprayed starting fluid at the crank seals while I was trying to start it and there was no reaction to it, so they must be good. Any suggestion to help this thing start by itself?

Did you prime the fuel pump?

I'm not sure how to do that.

Take the fuel line off the tank and fill the line with fuel. That will make sure that there is fuel all the way to the pump. If the fuel line got emptied, the pump isn't strong enough to draw fuel from the tank without fuel being in the fuel line.

Ok, I'll try that tomorrow morning. Thanks for the tip.
