Re: how to remove the governor 2014 EZGO EXPRESS High Output
Governor? Maybe the thing to do is to post this in the gas forum. I have read about removing engine speed limiters on gas carts, and I think its an easy thing to do, but here in the electric world.... no governors....
Good luck buddy! |

Oh, well, I don't think there is a governor on an electric cart. I could be wrong, tho. I think it is all imbedded in the controller software.

:lhmo::lhmo::lhmo: Ask the dealer to show you the "governor" on your 48v cart. BTW, there is sort of one on PDS carts, rpm limiter inside the controller but if cart does 20 mph then that is already disabled. |

Maybe you are talking about a "freedom chip", which might be what Sportcoupe is talking about. This little jumper plugs into the controller, and changes the personality of the controller, to accept hills better, flat out speeds, better, ect. If you post a picture of the face of your controller, we can probably tell if you have one installed.....

2014 don't have a chip, they have to reprogram the controller

And his cart already does 20 mph so it has been reprogrammed already.
