295 head on 350 performance engine rebuild?

:help: Does anyone know the compression ratio of a 350 engine with a 295 head? :help: thanks

I was going to figure that out once but never got around to cc-ing the heads. it's high, I was guessing around 11or12 to 1, People have reported psi reading over 190 after changing them

What's the pressure that I should read after the swap?? Not holding you to anything! But just curious.

Boy, I hope it works!! I just ordered the hi-perf cam and a 26mm carb. I've got the head with SS valves and hi-rev springs ready to go., and wil be ordering the MSD next week.
I will need to mod the stock exhaust and we should be screamin' along @ 7,000rpm.
That will bring the price tag for the head to $820.00. the MSD and carb add 750.00.
Thats $$$ 1,570.00 in a $600. dollar motor. BIG BLOCK! It's cheaper!!
Or just put the stock 295 on it and run it!!

okay guys, first, thanks or the info. however, my intent is to bore my 350 block 25MM over due to having only minimal wear. next i only plan to installt the 295 head (stock) with either the orginal cam or the high torque cam from LVS. so, as you see, i am not looking to push the engine to the limit. however, what i am told is that if the compression is above 10.5 or 11:1, i may have to use racing fuel. i am just looking to make this complete rebuild as painless as possible. no plans for rejetting carb or changing valves and spring unlass someone knows this is warranted. Ruredy, i always valued your knowledge, and would love to hear how you would do it. no offense to anyone else, as everyones opinion has been valuable to me and is alway appreciated.
