Thread lock on bolt or not?

Folks excuse my ignorance but I don't know what it's called but there are 2 hex bolts right behind the front wheel spindle, well one of these bolts came out for me today, my question is do I put some type of lock washer or thread lock when reinstalling this bolt?
Thanks

Either one is fine,it depends on the application. If its' aluminum,lock-washers usually won't hold, they bite in and loosen. In my opinion, from personal experiences,lock-washers rarely work anyway. For 90% of applications,Blue Loc-Tite will work fine.Never use Red Loc-Tite on Aluminum, unless you want to throw the part away or have it machined apart.

Thanks for the reponse, i will try the blue lock tite and see if that works, the bolt is upside down anyway so i guess it could not hurt to put a little on it.
thanks

I use the hck out of blue lock tight.. Every bolt that vibrates , needs it! Ford sells some of their brake bolts with blue already on the threads...
