Lifan 18 amp
 

Where is the cheapest place to get the lifan 16hp 18amp? I want this one bc I won't have to run the generator or alternator to charge my battery back up and to run lights/radio. So cheapest place or another engine that's cheap is same specs would be great!! Thanks!!

Only place I've seen it is amazon and homedepotonline. The recoil was on sale for 254 couple weeks ago.

Yeah, I just sold my Honda so I could buy an engine for my golf cart, and now the price shop back up. Any ideas of the links that I posted a decent engine wise and clutch wise?

Far as I know that lifan is the only one with 18a charge, the only clone single cylinder with it. If you find more people would like to know. Most clones used where you don't need it on smaller equipment that is why most don't have it (don't have ~20A charging like most twins do.) I don't think they put that one on sale unfortunately. But for 15hp/18A charge its still pretty cheap.

Ahhh I figured that was the only one with the 18 amp charge. And you make a lot of sense, most applications wouldn't need that so that's why the others don't have it. I can't justify paying over $100 more for the same engine, even tho the sale s over. I'm going to try and hold out until they go on sale again! Any idea on the clutch I listed working? Thanks

I do not recall it being marked down on the HD site.

People use that clutch but I would not recommend it. It takes a 7/8 belt or something, it may work in a club car they are 1" belt its not going to work with any other secondary in a yami or ezgo they are 1 3/16 wide belt. Plus its only 6" diameter so its smaller than normal cart clutch that would cut top speed. Guess it depends on what you want and you have to figure out how they got the secondary to work or if a 40 secondary is available for what you are doing. The 1 3/16 full size cvt works the best and best performance. If you are trying to go low budget and you can get it to work belt wise, it will work just not as well as full size.

Ok. I will go full size then! Still trying to locate a 18amp electric start for less then the $399 I found but may just have to bite the bullet
