primary drive clutch machineing

I am a new CC owner i have 04 CC IR i am not happy about the speed (10mph). it is stock but do have plans for larger wheels and tires later on and a lift kit 3" or 6" don't know yet. Should i get the primary drive clutch machined now. and will it help with the speed while i have stock tires. Money is tight after just buying the cart. Like the fourms they will help alot as time goes on.

10 mph, that is slow, maybe its your belt or gov. Mine was slow and I found out my clutch was not engaging properly. Is it a ds or carryall model.

It is a Precedent CC 2004. Belt is about 7/8" but thought it should go faster than that. Shouldn't the belt be 1" wide?
