Cheapest way to lift higher
I have a 2011 Club Car Precedent with a 6" A-Arm lift and HD leaf springs.
If I want to raise it to a 8" or 10" do I have to buy a whole new lift or is there a cheaper way Thanks |
Re: Cheapest way to lift higher
6" is the tallest lift kit they make. You're gonna have to build a custom suspension if you want a height that tall.

Also it's almost 1k! |
Re: Cheapest way to lift higher
8" seems like it would be very unstable, I don't think I would trust a cart that high.

For a lift that size, you must compensate stability. The kit makes the stance and wheelbase wider. Pushes almost the whole tire outside of the body. There are alot of newer members on here that are timid on large lift kits. Strech Long Travel is the way to go. They only have limited supply left for the EZGO carts. You must be looking on a different site for a price. The site sponsors here usually sell the complete kit for around $700. Not sure where you got $1,000?? Anyway, My Jake's came in yesterday and I will be modifying it to a 10" lift and will have close to 13" of wheel travel. Yes, with a 27" tire. Here is a picture of Ground Pounders cart he built a few years back. I am doing something similar on my cart but, a few changes will be made. This is a Yamaha G2 model with the Strech long travel kit and 27" tires... Any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to get a tougher look.
Do you think wheel spacers would give it that look. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/19/yzedu8yp.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/19/qyhy6azy.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
If the tires cam past the wheel well a bit?

Yes, wheel spacers will give it that look. The max on spacers are 3" wide. Total 6" from tire to tire
