Recently got this cart (can somebody please tell me if its a g2 or g9!?) from the neighbor guy because he owed me some cash.
Let me begin by saying that I am very new to the cart world but am quite familiar with sleds and working on toys.

Anyway...as you can see in the second picture, the front nose got busted up pretty good and rather than dishing out $200 for a new one, id like to try to repair it. Anybody suggestions on what to use would be great.

Plan on repainting the whole body and getting the seats reupholstered, adding an aux battery for lights and possibly a radio.

Suggestions and advice is always greatly appreciated.

Play around with the search feature here and you will find a wealth of knowledge. Try "body repair" or "body filler" and "upholster" stuff like that.

With that said, I think the method of repairing the front plastics is to make a fiberglass repair from behind, then fill the area with body filler. Patch in small pieces of fiberglass from the front if the area is large, then fill with plastic body filler, then use icing on top, sand with 200g, then 400g. Then prime and wet sand with 600g, 800g. Reprime. Check for scratches or imperfections. Wet sand those out if needed. Prep then paint. Be sure to use a paint made for plastic body panels that will have some flex. Any paint shop can guide you. Rattle can is cheap but in my opinion not nearly as good of an end product. Take your time, do it right the first time. It's not as hard as it sounds, just takes some practice and patience.

Good cart. I think that's a G2 although G2-G9 are very similar. Try finding the serial number on the frame. With that number we can help you find out what it is.

G2s had an alum trim on that front body, white steering column, white rocker with black rubber trim in center. G9 has black rubber covered trim on front body, black column, black rocker no trim. Some G2 have tubular a arms G9 they are stamped. G2 has rev limit in the ignitor (ignition box on gas tank) while G9 does not have a limiter. Otherwise very much the same carts. Check on floor inside seat by hinge for a number plate it can be looked up. G2 white steering wheel, G9 black.

I would repair that with flex repair, it is like bondo for plastic car bumper covers you can get at an auto paint or autobody supply. You can do it with bondo but it can crack. Also consider putting on a newer model front if you can fab up mounts, it will look cooler.
