2002 club car ds, IQ intermittently losing forward

Hello all,
I have a 2002 club car car ds, IQ. The cart will run great then out of nowhere it will not move forward. It always will move in reverse. I flip the f and r toggle, and i can go forward again. The loss of forward happens when already moving forward, or just taking your foot off the gas to slow down, and sometimes when it has been sitting for a few minutes i need to hit the gas pedal two or three times before it will go.
Recent fixes include, obc bypass, new battery pack.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a "Dropout Harness" issue. Those occurred a lot in the eraly IQ carts ('02/'03) and was fixed by adding this https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...ness-102355201. Call David to confirm my assumption.

Thank you the info. Is there a way to test the harness?

With yours being an '02, it does not contain the didoes unless you look and the harness is already in place.

If it were there, you would see it at the Run/Tow switch.. Definitely give David a call. He may have another idea, but it sounds like a dropout issue or failing MCOR (and hopefully not the early signs of a controller issue).

It would plug into that harness and go between the connections.

On a guess, i did swap the MCOR. When changed, the problem seemed to have gone away (forgot to mention in first post). After driving it for a few hours, it only acted up twice (not moving in forward). Had another employee drive the cart for a while and it droped out i guess, and the buzzer came on for the runaway cart. He came to a stop and had to drive it back in reverse. I hopped on and it was working normally.

Mcor kinda looked like it was parked in a lake. Covered in brush and mud.
