95 ds has no torque

This ds will go forward and reverse but has no torque. You almost have to push it to get it going. Once it goes it rounds right along. I’m not sure how much aftermarket stuff has been done to this ds. It looks to have a pretty new motor on it. It does have 2 solenoids as well. One confusing thing is the front solenoid is a 36 volt bit this a 48 volt system. The previous owner said this is a relatively new problem and it looks as tho both of these solenoids have been installed for quite some time. Both seem to be functioning properly. Any thought?

What is the battery pack voltage? And what is it while you accelerate?

Two solenoids makes me think you have a regen 2 cart. If it has a coil on the drivers side solenoid that may be what you have. If so and the solenoid with the coil fails to close good the load will try to go through the coil. It will get hot under the load.

If it has 2 solenoids, 1 resistor coil, a rocker switch for Fwd & Rev, "T" type controller and no Tow/Run switch, it is a Regen 1 cart....
Regen 2's came out in '97 or '98 if memory serves me correctly. They had a different controller and a Tow/Run switch.

Regen 1 regen 2 , if it has a coil on the driver side solenoid the coil will try to carry the load if the solenoid fails to work. This will give you low torque.

Yes there is a coil on drivers side solenoid. Drivers side is a 48 volt solenoid and passenger side is a 36 volt. Are you saying I should replace the 48 volt one?
