Anyone use Magna 8 volt T-875's?

Hey,

I need new batteries for for CC DS cart. I am in Canada. Called a local shop and I can get Magnacharge 8 volt T-875 for $173 each compared to Trojan's which are $215 each. Has anyone used the Magna's? I use my cart at the campground. Thanks

Doesn't seem to be a brand we see down here in the "States". Do you know who really makes the battery? Could be a private label made by a major battery company.

Yes...all that's good and well...but who makes them? Excide, Johnson Controls, or?

They may even be a black box Trojan battery.. The biggest question is amp hours. How do they compare?

Spec are Reserve Minutes: 300@25 amps, Amperage Rating: 156@20 Hour rate. 1 year warranty.

Re: Anyone use Magna 8 volt T-875's?

156@20hr is distinctly below Trojans rated@170. I live in Canada - but a few thousand miles West of you! After some research, I still bought Trojans - but paid less than $200. Find out where a few of your local golf courses buy/lease/service their carts and try calling there for a better price on Trojans.

Of course its your call - any decently manufactured battery (if cared for meticulously) will work - but the service life may be shorter.
