Help with f/r problem

I have a custom built 07 pds cart. I had a upgraded motor, solenoid, and a Alltrax 600 installed. The cart ran fine for a day or two, but i noticed when putting it in forward, the back up buzzer would come on softly and then go off. Eventually it came on full blast in reverse and forward. The cart only had reverse after this happened. I reversed the f1 & f2 on the controller and it switched to only having forward.i tried a new diode on the solenoid and cleaned all connections. I was told the controller was bad. I finally ponied-up for another controller. After installing it, the back up buzzer is still full blast in reverse and forward. I did not try moving the cart for fear of toasting the new controller. Any thoughts?

check white and black wires going to motor for rub spots or it is in the motor

I would suspect the F-R switch......try unplugging wires from it & directly connecting the correct wires to put it in forward (I don't have a PDS, so don't know what color the 3 wires are at the switch....check the wiring diagram) & see if the beeper goes off & cart goes forward. Then connect the wires that put it in reverse. If it works correctly like this, then you have something going on in the switch.

Re: Help with f/r problem

tried another fwd/rev switch = same issue

totally disconnected f1 & f2 wires at the module = same issue

Found out that with the run/tow switch in run position with the main key switch in the off position = same issue

So frustrating. I can't afford to blow this module. I haven't even stepped on the gas pedal for fear of toasting it.

Still thinking motor?

try unhooking white wire from controller and see if u get sound then try and unhook black wire see if one wire un hooked makes the double buzz go away if not start hunting wires

Disconnected one at a time - same problem

Disconnected plug between solenoid and controller - problem gone

Solenoid wired wrong or bad?

Sorry, I'm a newbie and thanks for the help!

Okay, so one of the small terminals was grounded with a separate wire. Not sure why. The cart did originally run fine in both directions. I unhooked the ground and checked the wiring. All good there. I don't see any melted wires or smell any. I think I'm gonna call it a night because I'm to aggregated to keep checking!
