pre 2002 vs 2002+ front end
I am looking at getting a gas 1998 txt. My last cart was a 2002 txt. I know there were changes to the front axle and steering between these 2 models. Was there an issue with the 3 bolt setup with the steering mounted to the firewall? why the change? Is it something to be concerned about in getting a pre 2001.5 model?

I believe it was cheaper for EZGO to go the rack/pinion setup instead of the older steering. it has lots less parts.

Also there there is much less bump steer with the later steering.
